Saturday Oct 9, 2004 - Seattle to Spokane

An at home pickup has been arranged for those traveling from the Seattle area. We depart from Sea-Tac airport for Spokane. Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in Spokane.Tonight we will meet our fellow passengers at the Welcome Reception. (Welcome Reception)

Sunday Oct 10, 2004 - Post Falls to Missoula

After a continental breakfast we will board our motorcoach for a scenic ride to Sandpoint, Idaho where we step back in time to the steam train era as we board the Montana Daylight Train. Enroute our expert narrators will identify historic sites and share local folklore while we enjoy the autumn colors. At Paradise,MT, we will follow the ��Low Line" through St. Regis, along the banks of the scenic Clark Fork River into Missoula. After checking into our hotel, enjoy tonight's dinner on your own. Monday Oct 11, 2004 - Missoula to Bozeman

Today we continue on our journey east. We follow the Clark Fork River; past the site where the railroad's famous Last Spike linked East and West in 1883. At Garrison we'll pass the southbound tracks of Montana's first railroad, the Montana Western, and meet up with the Little Blackfoot River. Following the Black Foot we begin our accent into the Rocky Mountains.This classic trout-fishing river was captured in the film A River Runs Through It. Another delightful lunch is served onboard as the scenery rolls by. After crossing the Continental Divide through the Mullan Tunnel we traverse two spectacular trestles, so don't forget your camera! We'll pass through Montana's capital city of Helena and cross the wide Missouri at Townsend as our route takes us into the roadless area of the Missouri River Canyon past Lombard where the NP and Milwaukee Roads crossed tracks. We emerge from the canyon at the headwaters of the Missouri River near Trident, Montana. Tonight we overnight in Bozeman. Dinner is on your own. (Continental Breakfast, Lunch)

Tuesday Oct 12, 2004 - Bozeman to Billings

After a continental breakfast we continue on our trip over Bozeman Pass to Livingston. In Livingston we'll tour the historic NP Depot/Museum, which was beautifully restored in 1985.The Depot's architect also designed Grand Central Station in New York City.The route continues, following the footsteps of the Lewis and Clark Expedition along the Yellow-stone River�Cthe longest free flowing river in the continental United States, into Billings Montana, where we will overnight. (Continental Breakfast, Lunch)

Wednesday Oct 13, 2004 - Billings to West Yellowstone

Today we are off on a scenic motorcoach journey to Yellowstone National Park. As we enter the park we will be stopping along the way to marvel at sights including Mammoth Hot Springs, Fountain Paint Pot, Steamboat Geyser and Old Faithful. Later we will settle down for the night at West Yellowstone Lodge. (Continental Breakfast, Boxed Lunch)

Thursday Oct 14, 2004 - West Yellowstone to Seattle via Boise

This morning we cross the state line and head into Idaho. Following the Oregon trail, through Craters of the Moon National Monument, we will have many wonderful photo opportunities of the beautiful scenery. Later we will stop for dinner on your own before arriving in Boise for our evening flight back to Seattle.Your approximate arrival time back in Seattle will be 10:00pm. (Continental Breakfast)

*Each dome car will have dome and lower level seating. Passengers in each dome will be split into two groups. Group One will sit in the dome section in the morning and Group Two will sit in the lower section. At lunch time the groups will change places. On day two of the excursion, the groups will switch places with Group Two starting the day in the dome and Group One will start the day in the lower section then rotate at lunch. On day three the groups will rotate in and out of the dome after the stop in Livingston.
