'Thanksgiving at the End of the Road' takes place on the weekend following Thanksgiving and is one of Winthrop's biggest celebrations of the year. This magical holiday celebration begins as we check into the award-winning Sun Mountain Lodge Resort. Perched on a mountain top, Sun Mountain was rated by Fodors as one of the top hotels in the world. Indulge in a gourmet Thanksgiving Feast. The next day the celebrations begin with a barn dance, cowboy poetry, bonfires, wagon rides, strolling carolers, a town lighting and a 45 minute fireworks display.
