Thrill to shipwreck stories. Probe the mysteries of the rain forest. Learn about the rich heritage of the Nuuchah-nulth First Nations people on this gorgeous 4-day getaway. Spend 3 nights exploring Vancouver Island by mail boat, train, ferry, and motorcoach! We'll cruise on a working freighter through the Broken Islands delivering goods, kayakers and passengers to remote villages accessible only by boat. Have your camera in hand to capture the stunning scenery and wildlife in the Pacific Rim. Bears, whales, sea lions, seals and more inhabit the region. Next board the Alberni Pacific Railway steam train for the ride to the McLean Mill National Historic Site, home of Canada's only remaining steam-powered sawmill. The surrounding community has been restored to what it was a century ago, giving visitors a glimpse of what it was like to live and work as a logger and mill worker in the early part of the 20th century. You might even be held up by the notorious Beaufort Gang, train robbers on horseback. The steam train also makes a stop at the Chase and Warren Winery for a tour and tasting. Includes transportation, 3 nights Vancouver Island, Pacific Rim National Park, Broken Island Mail Boat cruise, steam train ride, ferry rides and some meals.
NOTE : All tour prices are based on a cash discount. A 4% fee will be added to any tour paid by credit card.
