You cannot find a tour of the Netherlands quite like this one! Here's why. On our 10-day exploration of Dutch history, culture and landscapes, we will be sure to find plenty of windmills and canals, but we guarantee to show you the country in ways that only the locals know about. On this tour we will have the opportunity to travel by electric canal boat, our own private tram-car-turned-restaurant and a 19th century sailing ship.
Your journey will begin in Amsterdam. There we will visit world-renowned museums and between visits we will explore the city from our own, private canal boat. We will depart Amsterdam to visit The Hague, known for its role in international justice but also known to the Dutch for its proximity to the biodiverse dunes of the Dutch seashore.
Delft will be the next stop of the tour. There we will learn about the craftsmanship involved in creating Delft Blue ceramics. We will stay in Rotterdam at a hotel like no other- onboard the former steamship the SS Rotterdam. The next day we'll take a tour of the city's world-class architecture while having lunch onboard an antique tram car. The Netherlands would be nothing without its windmills and so upon leaving Rotterdam we will visit the UNESCO site of Kinderdijk, home to 19 historic windmills, to learn more about the Dutch fight against the floodwaters.
To go to Kinderdijk and then onwards to Dordrecht, we will travel in a unique way- on a 19th century Dutch tall ship. We will have the opportunity to help raise the sails and navigate our way through Holland's rivers, just as the Dutch have done for centuries. Dordrecht is host to a perfect balance of history and nature. From the historic town, we will visit the nearby Biesbosch National Park, where you will have the opportunity to explore the park's many streams and marshlands by electric boat, kayak, paddleboard or bicycle. Leaving Dordrecht, we will make our way back to Amsterdam, stopping off in the charming city of Utrecht. Back in Amsterdam, you'll have time to reflect upon the incredible experiences we've had before you begin your journey home.
NOTE : All tour prices are based on a cash discount. A 5% fee will be added to any tour paid by credit card.
