It's a simple equation, when you notice that this place is about 80 percent water. Here's a trip for the boater and boater wannabes. We are doing one of the top rated trips in Washington -we're cruising the lake by electric boats. These vessels are 21' long, seat 10 comfortably, are fully enclosed, heated, equipped with two tables, plush leather seats and are run by battery! The competition amongst the boats begins as you choose your captain and cruise to find various locations and points of interest on the lake and take pictures with Polaroid cameras provided. Cruise past UW Husky Stadium, Dale Chihuly's glass studio, and the houseboats of Lake Union. The first team to come back to the dock with all of their pictures wins. Next we'll duck into the Center for Wooden Boats for an interesting tour. Now that you've worked up a big appetite, we'll head to *Ivar's Salmon House*! The restaurant is a beautiful cedar replica of a Northwest Indian Longhouse, complete with an open-pit Native American-style barbecue for preparing succulent alder-smoked dishes. Here, in a setting filled with Northwest native art, dcor and historical photographs, you'll enjoy an incredible meal surrounded by spectacular views of boats cruising Lake Union and Seattle's skyline. Indulge in Ivar's World-Famous Clam Chowder, Top Sirloin with fresh Salmon, Mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetable and Ivar's Traditional wild blueberry ice cream!
