The Captain Whidbey Inn, located in the heart of Ebey's Landing National Historic Reserve is surrounded by forest and hugs the shore of Whidbey Island's Penn Cove. Stepping through the Inn's front door takes you back to 1907 when Judge Still and his men originally cut and placed the first timber and laid the stone for the Inn. The Ship of Fools dining service celebrates the wealth of locally grown foods using the freshest ingredients and making virtually all components of their menu from scratch. With this in mind, the chef marries classical culinary technique with the bounty from Penn Cove and their own Captain Whidbey garden to bring a new approach to year-round regional cuisine.
